Craig & Willoughby at #Hedfest18

International songwriters and performers Cathryn Craig & Brian Willoughby will be performing at Hedfest in Hedon on Saturday.

Individually the accomplished duo have worked with the likes of The Righteous Brothers, Mary Hopkin, The Strawbs and Nanci Griffith. Now they play together creating their own brand of music, all acoustic guitar-based material that is perfectly suited for blending hand-in-hand with the the particular acoustic sound of the 800-year old St. Augustine’s Church where they play at 10pm.

Their set promises lots of foot-tapping pleasure, choruses to join in, and stories from the duo as you enjoy Cathryn’s singing and Brian’s inventive guitar playing.

Craig & Willoughby have already conducted a spring tour this year, and have played the Wath Festival. They say: “We’re gearing up for summer festivals, in Counties Donegal, Tyrone, and of course Hedfest. We’ve written new songs, and we look forward to meeting new friends in July.”

“A wonderful weave of songs and stories wrapped in subtle colours of musical genius and delivered with an effortless stagecraft drawn from long roads travelled…” review by Colum Sands (Musician and Broadcaster).

Other headliners playing Hedfest this year across seven venues comprising all genres of music, include: Bud Sugar, Cuba Drive, Hillbilly Troupe, Urban Rain, The King’s Horses, The Froot and Holy Orders. For all the listings get your Programmes (£2) and keep an eye on the updates on this website.
