#Hedfest18 – Venues and Locations

The Venues to look out for at the Hedon Festival 2018 on Sat 7 July, are:

The Alexandra Hall (The Alex) St Augustine’s Gate, Hedon, HU12 8BW.
A full programme of entertainment arranged by Africa Studios with 12 bands/artists from 12 noon until midnight.

St Augustine’s Church (The Church) Church Lane, Market Hill, Hedon HU12 8JG
12 acts arranged by Africa Studios from 12.30pm – 11:00pm utilising to full effect the unique acoustics of Hedon’s 800-year-old ‘King of Holderness’ church.

The Haven Arms (Haven) Havenside, Hedon HU12 8HH.
Eight featured acts plus special guests too, running from 3:30pm until midnight. Stage arranged by Quiet Riot.

The King’s Head (King’s) 2-4 Souttergate, Hedon HU12 8JS.
There are two parts to the entertainment at King’s. Outside in the pub’s revitalised beer garden area, expect a great family fun day atmosphere with two local favourite bands performing from 3:00pm.

In the front room will be the “King’s Spoken Word” with performance poets and more music running from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.

The Shakespeare Inn (Shakey) 9 Baxtergate, Hedon HU12 8JN.
‘The Vineyard’ is the nickname affectionately given to Shakey’s outside performance area attracting bumper crowds creating a great buzz. Entertainment with two local favourite acts performing from 3:00pm.

The Station 67 Souttergate, Hedon HU12 8JR.
The Station benefits from its large beer garden especially catering for children. There’ll be extra activities for Hedfest, and the music there starts from 2:30pm onwards.

Hedon Methodist Church Church Lane, Hedon HU12 8EL. There’s a Carnival Parade Workshop taking place from 10am – 12 noon. Pop-in before 12 noon with the kids to get yourselves ‘dressed’ and ‘made up’ to take part in the carnival parade. The church’s Community Junction Lounge will be open for teas and coffees and the hall with opportunities to play some children’s games (follow this website for updates).

Market Hill for your craft and charity stalls and festival food.

Market Hill and Hedon Primary School playing field for a full programme of children’s activities from mid-morning until 5pm.

Ivy Lane. Assemble from 12:30pm for the Carnival Parade. Sets off at 1.30pm.

#Hedfest18 is a FREE to enter Festival. A Programme (£2) is available listing the complete schedules and locations map.

The programme may change due to unforeseen circumstances and/or weather conditions. We will aim to notify programme changes on this website up until the day itself.

Note: Some #Hedfest18 venues are licensed public houses and any concerns or questions regarding admittance of unaccompanied children/age restrictions should be directed to each licensee.

    • Hi Lesley – There are car parks at the Old Railway Station at the top of Station Lane/Preston Road. One at Iveson Close accessible via Fletchergate, and another at Johnson’s Corner Fletchergate/Thorn Road. There locations are marked on the Festival map in the Programme.
